ST. CROIX — Chefs and restaurateurs packed all the flavor in the U.S. Virgin Islands into a parking lot at the Divi Carina Bay Resort on Thursday night during the 24th Taste of St. Croix, a celebration of the island’s chefs, fishermen and farmers.
ST. CROIX — Randall “Doc” James Race Track developer VIGL can move forward with its plans to build a “racino” at the track, concluding a chapter of uncertainty in the story of horse racing’s return to St. Croix.
The government has been relying on Schneider Hospital to provide long-term care for mentally ill and medically vulnerable patients who have nowhere else to go, but has not helped to cover millions of dollars in expenses, leaving the hospital unable to pay its own bills.
